how cute.  i love watching them grow.  It is like you can see them growing and changing before your very eyes.  I think that is great adn will believe big that alll will go awesome and smoothly when the swaddle is removed.  I know it will as you have been such a great help to me on my bugaboo.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, thoughts on this.  Okay so my lo has been doing amazing.  he is 5 weeks old and takes about 1.5 to 2 hour naps on a regular basis.  however today the longest he would stay down for was 45 min at the most.  what is happening?  any ideas?  He also got extremely fussy which is not like him.  the only thing that even seem to calm him was nursing which on a normal basis he does every 3 hours on the nose.  today it was more like every 1.45-2 hours.  i dont get it and dont know what to do.  thoughts? suggestions?

Could be his 6 weeks growth spurt a tad early!  Brenden was absolutely ravenous well before 3 hours then.  Early nap wakings could be due to hunger.  You'll know if it's a growth spurt if it passes in a few days.  You can try extending his naps but watch carefully to see if he is showing signs of hunger -ie. listen to his cry and watch what his mouth is doing.  It is very easy to confuse hunger with tiredness and vice versa and it gets confusing when they hit a spurt and their routine gets thrown way out of whack!  Another indication of a growth spurt is him waking more often at night and taking more feeds through the night.  There are techniques in tbw book on how to up his food intake in the day so he won't need to have extra at night through the growth spurt.  But, if he wakes up extra tonight, feed him!  then, try to get more in him through the day tomorrow.

growth spurt was what i was thinking but he slept last night like he does everyother night. I dont understand what is going on.  We were doing so well and now we have come to some what of a hault.  AHhhh, the blessings of being a mommy.  i need to get my book out again and remember all the signs of lo's.  Sometimes i just wish someone could move in with me and teach me everything on reading my little bugaboos clues.
