Hi there. You should know that Zantac is considering a "starter" drug for reflux - many babies plateau on it - it's very weight sensitive and the dosage needs to be upped often and many babies simply develop a tolerance to it and need to move on to a PPI for more relief. You might want to also go to http://www.infantreflux.org for more information and another great message board.

If she does have an issue with dairy, she may have an intolerance to soy as well (up to half of babies with a milk problem have a soy one too). Also look for all sources of hidden dairy, not just milk. It can take 2 weeks for all the milk proteins to get out of your system.

I'm sorry you're having such a hard time and hope things get better soon.

Hi Laura, it took Antoine about a month to start feeling better. Just keep it up, it will get better. Be careful not to turn the paci into a prop, that could lead to problems later on. It is a hard time to go through, and I am sorry that you are experiencing troubles. Going on a reflux post board could give you more ideas about things to do.
My big boy is such a wonderful brother to his new sister.
I am truly blessed.
