??Transition to 1 nap???
« on: June 11, 2006, 20:41:44 pm »
My dd (14 months) and has been taking 2 naps a day (usually 1.5-2 hrs each) and has a 7:30 pm bedtime.  We put her in bed with the same routine we always have and she can play in her crib up to 2 hrs/night.  She is not mad and does not cry but justs plays!  Is this a good indication that she is ready for a 1 nap?  Her first nap is at ~10 am and the next is at 2:30 or so.  If this is the case, how long does the transition take?  I have Tracey's latest book but have loaned to a friend and am anxiously waiting for it back so thought I would post a message to see if I am heading in the right direction!

Thanks!

So at 14 months, your DD is getting 3-4 hours of day sleep? That may be too much day sleep at her age and therefore causing problems. She might be on the way to one nap but first why not try limiting first nap to 1 hour and second nap to 1.5 hours and see if that helps?
