My 9.5 week old baby girl has always gone down easily at night, in her crib, and slept for decent streches (now she does 7-8 hours).  BUT, she will not take naps unless she is in the Baby Bjorn or in our arms.  I started the pat/shh 3 days ago and have some success.  She is sleeping in her crib, but I have to hold the paci in her mouth until she is in a deep sleep.  I also have a 2.5 year old, so wind down time/soothing longer than 5 mins is difficult.  Does anyone have a similar scenario?  I just don't get why she goes to sleep so easily (anywhere) at night.  I guess that I should just be grateful that the evenings are not a fight.  She doesn't like the car seat, swing or bouncy seat either...

Hi there, you aren't alone.  Many Mommies and Daddies on this site have a similar problem and I am sure someone will pop in with some advice regarding that for you!

Here are some helpful links for pat/shh, how to sleep train with another lo around, why night sleep and naps are so different, and one about soothing:

I rec trying to have all sleep take place in the crib, it will make things easier in the long run.  Also, how is her easy routine - does she need more or less A time.  I would try to wind her down, it helps her settle and get ready for sleep.

Hope that helps some!  Big hugs, it must be so hard with two!
