Okay so I was reading a previous post and I have a similar situation, my son is 4.5 mths old and at the end of July I will be going on a week long trip w/o him

but it will be a special time for me and dh. So I was hoping to be done bfing by the time that I go as I probably will not have much time to pump and even if I was still just nursing once at night, I'm afraid his grandma's that will be watching him will have trouble getting him to sleep w/o the nursing session. So does anyone have any time on when I should start to wean, I would like to bf until 6 mo's but will that be enough time to wean (1 month)? Also I must be going through the 4 mth bfing rut b/c he just doesn't seem interested in bfing at all, I know I've got plenty of milk so I don't feel like my supply is diminishing but I just feel like he is letting it go to waste b/c he hardley wants to eat, here's more of the scoop on that. He wakes at least 3x during the night to bf, and does a farely good job at it but during the day he just hardley ever wants to eat, when I go to feed him he just snacks. So I know to cut the nw's I should try to get him to take more during the day but he just refuses it and looks around ( I know it's all interesting) I've even tried to go into a room with little distractions but he finds something to look at (even the ceiling is interesting to him) I just don't know how to get him to take good feeds. I'm afraid if he doesn't keep it up then my milk supply will start to diminish.
