Waking up with wake to sleep!!
« on: July 27, 2006, 16:36:56 pm »
Hi, my 12 w/o will only nap 45 mins.  I have tried wake to sleep a few times by going in at 30 mins.  I stir her so she just moves a tiny bit, but she wakes about 5 minutes later crying.  I usually can put her back to sleep by picking her up.  Am I going in too soon, or maybe too late? Stirring her too much?  Any help would be nice.  Thanks!

Hi, This is a usual day. I watched a few naps and all I noticed was a big sigh at about 10 and 20 mins. into it.  There was not jolts.  Then at about 45 mins she wakes and cries, then when she sees me she smiles!  So I assume I should get her up.

7am wake and feed
7-8:15 A
8:15 wind down, 8:30 asleep
9:15 wake and not hungry
9:15-10:30 A
10:30 wind down, asleep at 10:45 (might eat a bit)
11:30 wake and feed
11:30-1:00 A
1:00 sleep
1:45 awake,feed
1:45-3:15 A
3:15 sleep
4:00 awake,feed
4:00-5:30 A
5:30 sleep
6:15 awake
7:00 bath
7:30-8:00 feed and bed
10pm Dreamfeed if she doesn't wake to feed.

As you can see, it seems she is constantly napping! She also isn't a big eater lately.  Only eats a few minutes once in a while.  Hope this helps.

She is quite good for an hour, happy and all.  Then she gets a bit cranky, starts yawning and rubbing her eyes, so at 1.15hr, I wrap her and start wind down.  You have me thinking though, maybe I should wind down at an hour because there is 15 mins. of crying before she goes to sleep.  Is she staying up too long?  I hate to say it, but she is crankier then when she was when she would sleep for 1.5 hr.
Thanks.
