Stretching from 3 to 4 hr. Routine
« on: August 10, 2006, 17:17:43 pm »
First of all, I have to say how much I love this site and the Baby Whispering philosophy.  I was skeptical before, due to the other contradicting unending baby care techniques/methods/philosophies, but now that my wife and I have commited to Tracy's ways I'm spell bound.  We're only a handful of days into following her guidance, but we're already seeing incredible sleep habit improvements in our son.

I do have a questions for anyone out there...we are in the process of stretching our 4 1/2 month boy out from the 3 hr to 4 hr routine.  Currently, we're following the "8 to 11 day schedule" with a little longer of a stretch between the 2nd and 3rd nap (he's not tired when Tracy prescribes to put him down).  We've modified it by a few minutes, and it seems to be going really well.  Is it possible to move on to the "Goal Schedule" and skip the "12-15 Day Schedule" becuase the "Goal Schedule" seems to align with his needs more?  The 3rd nap is so close to the 2nd nap  in the "12-15 Day Schedule".  He doesn't have a problem staying up from the close of his 3rd nap to bed time.

Current Routine
E: 6
A: 6:30
S: 8-9:30

E: 9:30
A: 10
S: 11:30

E: 12:45
A: 1:15
S: 2:30 (This is where we modified)

E: 4:00
A: 4:30

E, A, S: 6-7

E: 10:00

Thank You So Much!
