PM Nap
« on: August 11, 2006, 15:57:18 pm »
My DS is 11 months old and over the past few days will not have his PM nap.

Wakes 5.00am
5.30am Bottle
7.30 breakfast
9 - 9.30 Nap - Lasts till around 12pm
12.30pm Lunch
3.00pm - Small Snack
3.30pm - 4.00pm - Used to take a 40min nap
5.00pm - Dinner
For that last couple of days he has been in bed by 6.00pm as he is so tired after his bath he crashes out.

He then will generally sleep till about 3.00am where he falls in and out of sleep every 45mins until he is fully awake at 5.00am.
(This waking period has always been part of his night sleep - Its better that it was cause he used to stay awake for 1.5hrs from 2.30am then fall asleep then have a cat nap until 5.00am)

Is this normal at his age?

How can I get him to stay awake a little bit later in the evening?

No I Dont want this 5am start, but he has always done this even before he started not taking his PM nap.

When I was having problems with his night wakings Moderator TeeZee was helping, but I have never got him out of early morning wakings. Even when he was going to be at 7PM he has still woken around 5.00am.

Is this dropping the PM nap okay at this age?

Yes we have tried wake to sleep, but it never worked.

Do you think I should push his morning nap  little later?

What is the general A time of a baby of this age?
