Could you push out his morning nap slowly until it is closer to lunch time? My 12month old was doing the same thing wanted a long AM nap and not wanting a PM nap. She was going down at 10.30am and 2.30/3pm. She now does:
Wake 7/7.30am
Nap 12pm for 2-3hrs
7/7.15pm Bedtime.

Hi thanks for the response
I have found that whenever he goes down later (as in, when he is overtired) he only sleeps for an hour or so. How long did it take for your DD to get to a good solid nap time?
thanks

Zander is also wanting to drop to one nap but he's not quite able to make it until after his lunch (even an early lunch!) unless he's had a lie in (rare
) because he gets overtired and only sleeps for an hour. Most days I put him down for a morning nap but wake him after 15 minutes and then he has his main nap at about 1pm for 2 hours or so.
