Does anyone have any experience with the Gerber organic foods? Does anyone recommend a better brand of organic baby food?

Hiya!
I have tried the Gerber, and they are good, but I noticed that the Vitamin levels are low on these...
We mainly use Healthy Times/Earth's Best. AWESOME!!
They have jarred food, cereals, cookies...etc.
Good luck,
Nay

I like the Earth's best brand so far....it is actually the recommended store bought food in Super Baby Food by Ruth Yaron.
One word of advice though...eventhough it is organic...some things like the bananas etc still contain citric acid. I have no idea why this junk is in there....
I make most of the stuff i have tried with dd and it saves tonnes of money. If you invest in the above book, I think you'll find it helpful.

I'm buying the organic as well, Gerber, Earths Best and even the local grocery store brand (Giant Eagle) is organic. I can't find a lot of variety in the meats though, is that common? As a matter of fact, we've found turkey and chicken but no red meats in the jars. Has anyone else experienced the same?

I was never able to find much variety in the meat either - I don't think they even have red meat available (maybe it's too costly for the company to obtain organic meats). I was only ever able to find jars that had a combo of chicken/turkey and veggies/fruit. I'm not even sure how much meat was in those!

isnt better to just prepare your meats than to buy it? I was just buying some apple sauce since my pediatrician wanted him to get some apple for his constipation. I have not tried any solids like that yet since he is not drinking well recently - he seems to be bothered by teething.
