Food not digesting!
« on: September 18, 2006, 02:10:20 am »
Sorry, but this is gross.

My son (13 mos. old) LOVES Gerbers Freezed dried apples.  For the past 2 days, he has eaten a big bag of them.  Anyhow, when he went poop today it was ALL freeze dried apples.  Of course they were brown in color, but they were not digested at all.  It looked like I opened his diaper and stuck a handfull of them in his diaper.

The weird thing is the bag says "They dissolve right in your mouth".  I tried one and they do dissolve in your mouth.  Maybe he is just swallowing them right away.

He went poop twice today and both times it was like that.

Does this mean he body is rejecting them or is it just normal for apples?

Thanks,
Wendy

Just in case you have not heard or seen the Gerber Freeze Dried Apples:  Here is what it is:

Packaged in a one ounce resealable pouch, Graduates Mini Fruits are tiny toddler-bite-sized freeze-dried fruits that are specially made to dissolve easily. Each bagful is made with 100% real fruit and provides four servings. There are no preservatives added

The weird thing is that is all that was in his diaper.  It wasn't like poop with it mixed in.  It was just the apples with brown liquid over it.  GROSS.. Sorry!!!
