14 week starting to sleep though but still fussing at 4am?
« on: September 23, 2006, 20:03:52 pm »
Greetings all!

My main question is: my son is starting to sleep through the night  :) i.e. after 10pm feed till 5.30am.  However, he still fusses at 4am which was the time of his last feed however he is NOT hungry.  I settle him but will normally have to go back a few times and then he goes back to sleep.

1.  Is it normal for babies learning to sleep though to be restless at first?
2.  With him waking at 5.30am, he is ravenous, hence feed him a full bottle which then puts our whole routine out i.e. he naps from 6.30-8am and lands up having 4 naps a day. How do I get back onto the routine and is it a problem having this extra nap?

Any suggestions are welcome.  I have answered the questions below.

Have a great day to you all out there in baby world!!

Claire
