Waking from nap after "bad" morning
« on: October 11, 2006, 17:52:50 pm »
My 4 week old son did not nap after his 7:00 a.m. feed this morning.  Even though I saw some sleep cues and swaddled him and put him in his crib, he was hysterical for about an hour until I finally got him out.  Here is my question...

After his 10:00 a.m. feed he was fussy and wouldn't nap again.  I took him on a stoll and he fell asleep in the stroller.  He has missed his 1:00 pm feed, because I just couldn't wake him.  He seemed to need it after missing his morning nap.  It is approaching 2:00, should I wake him now that he has been asleep for 2 hours?  Should I always wake him at feed time even if he missed an earlier nap and is cranky?

Thank you.
