All-in-one Thomas the tank fleece sleep suit from Boots
« on: October 10, 2006, 18:35:15 pm »
Hi

I bought an All-in-one Thomas the tank fleece sleep suit from Boots today - one with arms and feet.

I am just wondering if anyone else has used these and if so do they keep your Lo's warm with just PJ's on underneath?

I am trying it tonight, however DH has concerns that it isn't going to be warm enough.  :-\

Would appreciate your thoughts.........

I use them all the time with Tom over his pjs in the winter and over his pjs etc in summer when out fo r evening walk they are great and keep Tom toasty and warm.
We call them spotty feet in our house we nicknamed them that when we were kids and it stuck hth x

i guess it all depends on the temp in his room, and your house's heating, lauren. we use them with a onesie on underneath during autumn, and as it gets colder, will probably add either a long-sleeved onesie and socks, or if the heating breaks down like last year, a full set of cotton jammies underneath! we also have a space heater, which can make it really toasty in there, so are trying to find the balance. i remember our hv said not to go by the coolness of their hands and feet, but the tips of their ears, if that's any help!

thanks for the reassurance everyone, I just didn't think it was as think as his 2.5tog growbag - therefore naturally assumed not as warm.

...just going to put the heating on  ;)

the other thing is that if you do layer underneath it, the layers will be closer than his grobag, hence a little warmer, no?

ok while we're on the subject, Thomas has a temp so I havent put him in his grobag tonight as he was pretty hot but around 3 am it is quite nippy, what do u suggest I do? Blanket is pointless as he chucks it off?

Yaya
what does Thomas usually wear under the grobag? Can you not just remove a layer and still put the bag on?

Here is a photo of the sleepsuit.....

Oh, blanket sleeper!   Love them!!  Charlotte gets a onsie under it, then I add a blanket when we go to bed.  She tosses it off if she gets hot.  When I check on her, she seems nice and snuggly.  Same thing last year.  It gets to about -30 Fahrenheit some nights if you factor in the wind chill.  Of course, this year I added a fleece crib sheet this year.  Keep her warmer when she tosses of the blanky.   ;)
