Hi Sandi's mom. Glad to hear that your LO is doing very well today. Use that extra time for yourself and do staff that relaxes you. For us things have been a little better this week. On Sunday she had a beautiful day, she felt asleep on her own three times and of course that gave me some time to recharge my batteries and feel better as well. I visited the Ped and he has increased the Zantac a little  and I am going back for a follow up the day of her two months appointment 10/20). She continues to struggles with the reflux. yesterday she cried almost all day, but as I said, she has had other good days so I feel more relax now. You mentioned  the white noise machine. Where I can buy it? my daughter doesn't like the pat either the shh, it works at times but she gets very angry when I try to do pat, so I just hold her arm. The swaddling, she hates it too, so altough I swaddle her I leave one hand out, and that has worked a little bit better.
Let me know how your LO continues to do and I will keep you posted as well.

Hello MariaTeresa,
I hope your lo continues to have more good days than not so good ones. I hope the medication helps too! I ended up buying a Sound Sleeper from Babies R Us. It has the "womb" sound and although when I heard it, it sounded kind of muffled when we put it in her crib it worked. The first thing we used was a radio and just found some static. That knocked her out the first time (this was Friday morning at 5:30am of no nap week). I kept it on all day on Friday, but it would sometimes go off or the station would come in - I could not keep the static on. So Friday my husband went and got the Sound Sleeper. Some of the other Mom's have mentioned the following:

purewhitenoise.com

and the CD "For Crying Out Loud" and I found this one I was thinking of purchasing:

http://www.hush-baby.com.

Other Mom’s also stated they used humidifiers and fans facing the wall to get the white noise.

Go back and read Stacy’s post “Are you getting discouraged?” The first one under FAQs – Naps. This helped me sooo much!

My lo would get her arms out of her swaddle (even just one) and when she would wake after her first sleep cycle, she would be flailing her arms and could never get back to sleep. I started swaddling her to make sure she could not get her arms out, this is another reason I think she is napping and sleeping better.

You are doing great!! Let me know how things are going! Sending you tons of encouragement!

I'm going to babies ur s this weekend to buy the sound sleeper, because to be honesdt with you at get very tired of shhing adter a while, so the sound sleeper can do that part for me. She is being sleeping for 2 hours today  ;D ;D ;D I was going to wake her up but I am going to let her sleep up to 2.5 to catch up from last night. I hope it doesn't ruin my night, but I think she is very tired. oopps she is waking up. got to go
