down to 1 feed a day and feeling sad
« on: November 02, 2006, 08:59:32 am »
I promised myself when Lisi was born I'd bf her for a year. She's had a good run of it and really doesn't seem bothered where she gets her milk from, or what type for that matter - be it ebm, cow, goat, soy or formula. She even seems just a little bit happy that it's coming out of a bottle before bed - much less work! She was forever swapping sides trying to get to the milk quicker, sitting up and lunging at my other boob if I didn't move her first.

We're just bfing now first thing in the morning and gosh do I miss that quiet, tender time. I'm so happy to have had this year, particularly as the thought of being a lactating mammal freaked me out somewhat whilst pregnant.

Well, I'm just going to have to have another one so I can do it all over again  ;D

big {{{{{{{{{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Katie!  You've done a wonderful thing for Lisi and should be proud!  At least she has weaned smoothly with no tears.  And I have to admit, I am lmao about Lisi dodging at your boobs  ;D  :-*

Proud to have breastfed for a combined total of 35 months

I know it's sad, but it really is quite an accomplishment.  I agree on the baby #2 and going for it again!

Good for you!  That's so impressive!  :D  You've done such a good job for Lisi & have so much to be proud of.  I  know what you mean about looking forward to the next time around.  {{{hugs!}}}
