Thanks Lauren,
This is what our 4hr routine looked like (before everything fell apart)
Wake up 5:30-6:00 Feed
6:30-7:00 leave the house to my mum's
8ish nap (usually 1hr-2hr)
9:30-10:00 Feed
11ish nap (again 1hr-2hr)
1:30-2:00 Feed
(Go home with mum)
3:30ish cat nap (usually sleeps until 4:40)
Books, Bath, Feed at 5:40ish, bed between 6-6:30
DF 10
When I first when back to work, she started to take 1hr nap. We have worked on it and she started taking 1.5-2hr naps. She used to take three 6oz bottles and 7oz bottles for bedtime feed +DF. She's a good eater, used to finish her bottle within 20 min.
After her tummy problem, she squirmed and cried when we tried to feed her
She just refused bottles and she pushed milk out of her mouth with her tongue if there's milk in her mouth
She only wanted her water bottle (with slower flow)
Our feeding "cycle": Try to feed her when she wakes up in the morning, after trying for 10 minutes, no luck. Put her down to play for 15min or so and try to feed her again. Usually no luck, so I put her down to play again for another 15 min. to see she gets hungry. This cycle will go on and on until she's exhausted and extremely hungry. She then started crying... I have to calm her down, until she's relaxed and then she's willing to suck
She was then feed to sleep
So we took her to the doc to see whether there's anything wrong. The doctor assured me that my LO is absolutely fine. DD is just going through a "phase" and needs to start her solid. He also recommended us to let DD try different types of formula. Maybe she likes different taste. The doctor was surprised that DD hasn't started solid yet. He even told us that DD should have 2 meals of solid at her age.
He also recommended to feed LO every 4.5-5hrs. How can this work out?
Anyways, we bought different kinds of formula and changed to faster teat to see whether it would do the trick.
Right now, I can't really say there's a routine.
During the day, my 6mo spirited LO is so curious about her surroundings, eager to try out new skills. It seems she only wants to eat or nap when she's in the "mood." I can't really wind my LO down when she's hungry.... so naps usually follows until she's willing to eat.
I know I need to make adjustment to my routine when LO is 6mo. I'll also check EASY forum for some 6mo. EASY routine for my LO. I posted here because it started with a feeding problem.
Last Saturday when she had her 6mo shots, the doctor checked her gum. DD is not teething yet. It's not teething problem.
