30-45 minute naps and should I let it go?
« on: November 30, 2006, 22:52:34 pm »
DD is 5 months on 4 hour easy...But will not sleep longer than 2-45 minutes naps...she's never slept longer than 1 hour since birth...Nighttime sleep is fine 7:30pm to 6:30 am.

There are developemental things going on: teething, and rolling to name a few

Should I just let it go?  She wakes up wailing but as soon as I walk in, she is smiling and happy?

If she is not tired through out the day and has been doing that forever, sounds like you have a short napper on your hands, just like we do. I wouldn't worry and would just accept it.

Our naps got longer (to 1-1.5 hour) once we went down to one nap at 11 months.

Thanks Stacy and Sandra

I've tried W2S but not sure if I am having much success with it. I go in at 30 minutes and she still wakes at 45 minute mark.  Then I try a little earlier and she's up.  Not sure what to do here. I've read the FAQ's on W2S but maybe it's my brain but I'm just not getting it.

I suspect that she is just a short napper too...argh. Should I keep trying W2S?
