My baby did that too - i decided it was time to take away the nuk.  We went cold turkey and it was hard for 2 days.  We did that 3 weeks ago (DD is 5 mo.) and she sleeps 7:30 pm to 7 am with DF at 11:00 and has 2 2-hour naps a day.  It was very worth taking away the nuk.  it seems like she sleeps much better now and it is easier for all of us.

Yes, the night wakings could be a result of overtiredness from the short naps. How long is she awake for between naps? At her age, a good amount of A time would be 2.25 hours on average. Also like the previous poster said, the paci could be causing problems itself...
