A little worried about swallowing magnet....
« on: December 01, 2006, 20:15:42 pm »
I'm sorry if this isn't the right place to post this but my daughter just swallowed a little platic letter "i" with a magnet in it. Now I have to take her up to the doctor. They made an appointment for a few hours from now so I guess it's not that urgent?? I'm just worried...

My little bro swallowed a magnet but he was 5 at the time! He had to go to the hospital but was told he'd be fine and it should pass naturally!!

Dont worry too much, the doctors know best and as long as she seems fine Im sure there is no immediate rush though Im glad shes being seen soon!! Is this your daughter who is 5 months?

She's actually almost 18 months old. I think I need to update my ticker!  ;) Thanks for the reassuring words.

he he he! I was wondering how a 5 month old would have managed that one! My little boy is almost 18 months too, on the 11th of Dec! Hes forever putting things in his mouth, Im sure he like the reaction he gets from me when he does it!! They say he doesnt do it a nursery, he just walks up to me at home with a toy wedged in his mouth and then runs off!!  ::) Hes a monkey!!

Let us know how she gets on xx
