confused about this mornings nap, what did I do wrong?
« on: December 11, 2006, 17:37:06 pm »
ok, so Noah has been faithfully waking btwn 5-5:30 for the last 1.5 months. he stays in his crib until 6, naps have been a bit crazy aswell
so usually:
bed asleep by 7
wake 5:15, out of crib at 6
nap1 8:45-9:45 or 10
nap 2 4hrs later for hopefully 1.25 hrs (2-3:15)

last night, he was asleep by 6:50pm, woke at 6am ;D
was going to aim for naps 9:30-10:30, 2:30-3:30

but...started showing sleepy signs at 9:00am, attempted nap but he just played for 10min, went to check on him as I had heard a loud noise from his room, decided to try nap again at 9:30 (3.5hrs A time) he fussed and played, started crying at 9:50, asleep at 10am with me soothing in crib.

1. why showing sleepy signs at 9? after only 3hrs A time and a extra 1hr of nights sleep?

Perhaps she's just sleepy and rested after getting a good night of sleep and now her body wants even more! Remember, sleep begets sleep...

funny, whenever Noah sleeps well at night. ie 11hrs---the naps the next day are not good. but definately when he naps well during the day...the night is good.
today nap1 10-10:40
nap 2: showy sleepy signs at 2pm---but talked and played in his crib until 2:20, fell asleep independently, woke at 2:55pm.
... so there you have it, 2 -40min naps.
and then.... because he didn't nap well this afternoon......he will be up early tommorow.
I will probably have to put to bed early..ie. 6:45pm

seems to be only be getting 12.5hrs these days btwn night/naps.
