How many naps for 3 month old?
« on: January 09, 2007, 22:30:04 pm »
Hi there,

I noticed in the FAQs that it states that 3 month olds should be having 3 naps a day.  My LO has been having 3 plus a catnap of 45 min in the evening, and I was just wondering if we shouldbe eliminating that catnap now?  She really fights it some days, but the last time I skipped it and gave her an earlier bed time, she still woke up after 45 min and then seemed to think that bedtime was 2 hours after that time!  As a result, she didn't end up falling asleep until 10pm.  Any suggestions?

If you are on 3hr EASY then i would say 3 naps and a catnap. I am just confirming the info in the FAQS section with the other MODS and will get back to you.

Thanks Natasha!  I've been checking the boards and based on what i've found, I think my LO is ready for 3.5 hour EASY as she has been not eating as much at her feeds, having many more 45 min naps and waking up more often at night.  If she is on that cycle then it would automatically be 3 naps, right?
