Tips for introducing a teat?
« on: January 12, 2007, 15:38:57 pm »
I have expressed some milk today, and earlier when i tried to give her the bottle she just gagged and gagged (its not a big teat). She already has a dummy, so i thought she'd be ok.
Can anyone suggest anything?
TIA

I guess you might have to experiment with the teats to find something that is similar to the nipple shape (sorry if tmi!).  She might need one of the slower flow ones till she gets used to the idea.

I'm presuming you're using the slowest one you can. Perhaps you can alter the position so she's more upright. Hopefully the bottle-feeding folks on this board will have more tips (which is why I've moved your post as it was focusing on bottle-feeding - hope that's OK)
