3.0 hour easy or 4 hour easy?
« on: January 12, 2007, 19:01:55 pm »
I am going to try to get my daughter on a better routine. She was 4 months old on 01-09-07. I have had her on a really good schedule from birth but we have fallen of the beaten path. She is now snacking (or thats what I think she I doing). She will eat 3 ounces ever hour or so. She is sleeping through the night!! ( and has been for about 2 weeks). But her daytime bottles are so out of wake. She is at a babysitters all day because I work full time. She has recently just changed sitters so I wanted them to get used to eachother before I worried about her routine. How should I proceed with the EASY routine. should we try the 3.5 or 4.0?? Any suggestions?

She is definitely a snacker - going to a four hour easy routine would probably be to overwhelming for her. maybe you should start with a 3 hour and work yourself up to a four hour. Are you familiar with how to do that? Anyone have a link to a example schedule? You would also have to up her ounces. What does her day look like? Is she napping well?

Well, I decied to start on the 4.0 hour Easy. So far so good. Today looks like this.
700 wake and feed (only 3 ounce bottle)
900 cereal
930 started to get down for nap
1000 finally sleeping
1030 woke (in a good mood so didnt fight it)
11:00 6 ounce bottle (YES)
1200 down for nap.

Thats it so far. We just started solids a few days ago. Doctors suggestion. She loves them so far. She naps ok but really good be a better napper. She is a very active baby and loves to be awake (hence bad napper) I just dont want her to get into that routine of snacking instead of eating. What do you think so far?

I'm sorry, i should have asked you to post your routine before i made any comments. I didn't know your little one was on solids - personally i have not started my lo on solids so i cannot tell you from my experience what a snacker is when it comes to feedings (milk+solids). If your LO is content and is sleeping through the night then maybe you should continue doing what it is that your doing. It seems to be working!! :)
