This is a brilliant thread and one I have bookmarked as we fly a lot.
HOWEVER...a different question for you guys...!
We are travelling by ferry to the UK at the end of next week (we live in Jersey, Channel Islands) -we are taking the car as we are meeting up with friends in Center Parcs and need to take LOADS of stuff!
The journey there, I'm not too worried about - it's the overnight slow ferry from Jersey to Portsmouth. Leaves Jersey at 9pm and gets in to Portsmouth at 6am. We have a cabin booked, and I'm hoping the vibrations and (hopefully) gentle rocking will send both boys off to dreamland! If they don't sleep we have a 2 hour drive ahead of us so they can sleep then!
The return journey is the one that's bothering me. We leave Weymouth at 11am and get into Jersey at 3pm. I'm hoping the weather will be good so that we can stand outside and wave goodbye to england, count boats, spot seagulls etc for at least 30 minutes - the same as we get close to Jersey. It's just what to do if the weather is bad! Also, can anyone suggest any activities to keep Toby occupied for 4 hours - we'll do the colouring books and stickers - thank goodness it's easy to get up and walk around the boat!
Any suggestions, tips, advice gratefully received!
