crying & laughing at same time..what mean?
« on: February 23, 2007, 13:26:16 pm »
Not sure where to post this.  In the afternoons usually when i have my 15 week old baby in the playpen on on the bed next to me we usually have "talk time" where he makes noises and i "talk" back to him.  sometimes he is laughing/squealing and then he starts going eheheh like he is starting to cry and sometimes the mouth moves down into a pout.  is this a sign of overstimulation?  he will only do it sometimes and cry a little bit and then start laughing again.  yesterday he did it just before bath time ans after putting him in the bath he was ok.

Yes, I bet it is overstimulation.

I remember when Adrian was a little older, just started to walk and would start going around the corner laughing, the laugh would turn into a cry and by the time he completed the turn he was crying. We knew it was bedtime. :)

DD2 does that sometimes when dh is playing with her later in the day -- I think he's just a bit overwhelming when she's really tired.
