cereals in UK & US
« on: March 16, 2007, 19:57:29 pm »
hi
i was wondering about the different kinds of cereals the UK has as opposed to the US.  i have another post in bottle feeding and the person who responsed back talked about different kinds of cereals she gives her lo, like weetabix.  so i looked up this and a few other cereals online (like ready brek) and they look like something i'd like to try with my little guy.  does anyone know if the US has anything like these cereals/breakfast foods?  i am always searching for new foods to give my lo.
thanks!
Carolyn

I'm in Canada and Weetabix is available here. You may want to check out the organic section of your grocer, my SIL in the US found it there.

I'm from Canada too and I use Milupa cereal, my lo had trouble with reflux and this worked well because it thickens.  The box says distributed in Quebec, Canada and produced in Poland.  There was somewhere else mentioned but it's ripped off.

I'm happy to see Weetabix is available in Canada, I always wondered about it.  I will have to go hunting for it.

Hi, whilst in Utah in January we visited a store called "wild oats" which is a health food store and we saw "weetabix" there.  So maybe you could look at your health food stores.  We didn't any ready brek though.

And also our we went to meet a fellow BW in Canada who had weetabix too (we took our own and she said that she had some in her cupboard). lol

I am in the US, and our health food store (Trader Joes) has it also...   :)
