Probably an idiotic question about dreamfeed and EASY...
« on: March 05, 2007, 16:17:35 pm »
...but i'll ask anyway and blame it on sleep deprevation as Baby has ear infection and is not sleeping great at the moment ::)

if baby (6 weeks) wakes up just before or during the dreamfeed/night feed and then dozes off during it, is this considered to be bad in terms of EASY i.e. falling asleep on the bottle and making bad association and therefore, should she be kept up/woken  for a while beofre putting her down again and running the risk that she won't settle again?  Can't say i fancy this at four in the morning :o

I know it's probably silly question, but it's the way my brain works  :D

No, you want baby to sleep during the df or fall asleep right away if she does wake.  The not feeding to sleep association should be taken care of during the daytime hours.  All night feeds should be nonstimulating and baby should go right back to sleep.
