what is this from? solids? bf? zinc oxide? (TMI)

okay...so DD has been on solids for a little over a month...she loves it! we started slowly and only in about the last week is she now having 3 meals....(still nursing about 4-5 times a day)....

my question is...her poops have taken on a slight...grey/blue tone  ....and I'm wondering if this is a chemical reaction between her solids and bf...or does the zinc oxide look that color next to her poop!

Both DH and I have examined it thoroughly (gross..but what you do for a child  )...it's the strangest thing we've ever seen...DS never had this weird colour thing happen... and we use same diapers...same cream....

She's not complaining and this has been going on about a week...Anyone know what's going on...am I just being silly?

I don't think that's a bf thing.

These articles says grey/blue can be a formula colour. Are you mixing formula with cereal???

Have there been any new foods in the last week?
I think if the poos aren't frothy or mucousy and she doesn't seem worried I wouldn't worry.

Thank you Emma...You are a wealth of info...She's not worried by it at all...and no I'm not mixing formula....and the only thing we've done new in the past week is butternut squash....

Mind you...she's really liking the peas now...whereas before it was a spoon by spoon convincing....
