Hard to Nap/Need Advice
« on: March 28, 2007, 20:16:18 pm »
Hi All,

It's my first time posting here.  I am need of any advice/ideas you could share with me.  My daughter is 10 1/2 months old and currently sleeps in a sleep positioner to keep her on her left side.  This is due to her favoring her right side previously and a specialist said to shape her head correctly I need to keep her on her left side.  She uses a pacifier as well.  I am having a hard time putting her down for naps and having her fall asleep for any period of time.  She will go down for naps and sometimes she will fall asleep on her own, however, most of the time she will needs coaxing (patting, replacing the paci, etc.)  This coaxing can go on through her entire nap time or for a minimum of half an hour and then she will wake up every 5 minutes.  The only time she get a good nap is if I'm holding her.  I would like to know how to encourage a good nap time.

Thanks
