Need Help sticking w/EASY! Reflux and accidental parenting?

My DD is 6wks old and I have been trying to follow EASY since bringing her home.  However, she seems to have reflux.  My doctor recommended keeping her upright for 10-20 min after a feed, well that means I have to change her diaper before feeding (was doing it mid-way through feed if she fell asleep or after feed but that seemed to overstimulate her), she falls asleep on me not in crib (AP) and she doesn't have any A time (not sure what to expect at this point.  I really want to stick with EASY but I feel like things are really getting out of whack.

Hi Joanna, Welcome to BW and the boards!

IMHO being a 6 week old with reflux that holding her upright and that she falls asleep is NOT AP. Starting the 6 week mark is when babies really start falling into routines. However I believe that when they are sick or going through something that extra cuddles and bending the rules is more than allowed, it's necessary.

Just try to keep the rest of her routine going and to not do any "real" AP and she's should be just fine.

Thanks for the encouragement.  I am going to keep trying to implement EASY b/c I really like the concept of a routine for my lo.  I know there will be rough patches but I'm glad that I can get good advice on these boards.
Plus she's only 6wks old so I can't give up yet!
