Hi

Up until recently our daughter has always gone to sleep on her own and very happily, occasionaly waking in the night but generally a good sleeper.

Nothing has changed to our lifestyle but the past 3 weeks every night when we go to put her in her cot bed she screams and cries, we cannot understand why and more importantly how to help her to fall asleep.  Her routine at nighttime is Bath/Milk/Story cuddle bed nothing has altered here.

Please any ideas or thoughts really at end of tether as not getting any break in the evening anymore.

thanks

Could you post her daily routine. Times of naps, food and bedtime.

How does she go to sleep, if she wakes during the night, how does she go bak to sleep

Up and until recently her routine was as follows;

7am get up, milk
8am breakfast
10am snack
11am (1 1/2 to 2 hours) nap
1pm lunch
3pm snack
5pm tea
7/730 pm bedtime

Until recently if she ever woke in the night she cried a bit and then went  back to sleep, now we have to go into her as she sounds petrified.  People have suggested it could be teeth but I cant see any new molars coming, some have suggested seperation anxiety, but we just havent a clue. thanks for your response.

Has anything in her lifestyle changed? Has she got a new carer, started nursery recently? Do you work?
What happened 3 weeks ago?

You could try moving the nap a little later.  There is 6.5-7 hours activity time between nap and bedtime, only 4 between wakeup and nap time.  Try to even it out so that there is around 5.5 hours activity time before nap and bedtime.

Nothing has changed in her life in the past few weeks, I do work but have done since she was 1 year Old, she goes to nursery once a week anbd my mum has her the other days, this is why we are so confused because we cannot understand the change in her.

Thanks for the thought of changing her nap time, but I am not sure this problem is nap related its more perhaps on some type of anxiety everytime she goes to bed, day or night.
My only  thought it thats its her molars but this doesnt last 3 weeks does it? Also she's eating fine.

She wears a gro bag and is still in a cot bed, I was wondering if this might maker her feel uncomfortable now but then I just dont
 know!
