Holding own bottle?
« on: June 13, 2007, 13:02:28 pm »
DS has never hedl his own bottle :-[ guess he just likes the cuddle!
I want to remove the bottle from the winddown we do butDS will not take a bottle anywhere but in his room, in the dark so my other option is to teach him to hold it on his own so I can leave him to it, any tips on encouraging this?

Noooooooooooooo, not ready at all. T has always hated milk and still has lactose free formula due to the MSPI so the only milk he gets is in bedtime bottle...we have tried everything, cups, beakers, bottles, diff person giving it to him, offering in car...nada! I do really need him to have this bottle , not desperate to keep the bottle per se but it's the only way to get some milk down him. He doesnt go to sleep on the bottle....far too awake for that LOL He won't have one am either (nor brekkie till 9.30 for that matter ::)) and i take it away before putting him in cot.
what do u think best me giving it and ensure he's awake when going down or teaching to hold?
