2 1/2 year old that gets up at 5:30 am

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who wakes up at 5:30 am almost every day. I have tried to put her back to bed until 7am and she cries and continues to get out of her bed until it is 7am. She is cranky because she is so tired (so is her mom). It doesn't matter what time I put her to bed at night (about 7 pm), she still gets up at the same time. I have also more recently tried to wake her up at 5am before she wakes up, take her to the bathroom, put a dry pull-up on her and put her back to bed. Twice it has worked (in 2 weeks) and all the other times she has just gotten out of bed. Any suggestions...

What is her nap schedule and how long does she nap for during the day?

She naps once a day for 1 - 1 1/2 hours. She goes down at about 12:30 or 1pm. She goes to bed at 7 pm and has no trouble going to sleep on her own.

could it be the early sun in the morning?  How dark is the room in the morning?

Nope we have blackout blinds and I even put a pillow on the floor outside her door on the off chance that any light was getting in. She has music or a fan in her room that drowns out any possible noises also.

I would bring her nap to an earlier time - like 12pm. If she's waking so early and then is up 7hrs before a nap, she could be getting overtired & that itself leads to early wakings. So I would do a nap at 11:45 so that she is asleep by 12pm (the latest), let her nap for 1.5hrs (1hr is not enough really) & bedtime at 6.30 so that she is asleep by 7pm. Let her catch up on some sleep & then try pushing her day forward by adding 15mins to her nap and bedtime. Also on the days her nap is only 1hr long, do you put her to bed a little ealrier to complensate???
