Well, we've now been struggling with 45 min naps for just over 2 months and nothing seems to help. We've tried W2S, extending A time, decreasing A time (and fitting more short naps in), darkening room, giving a lovey, etc etc but nothing will make H sleep for longer than 30 mins now
TBH she is pretty happy even after only 30 mins so in some ways I'm not too worried. But it's me that's struggling. I need some Y time again and at the moment I'm just not getting any. As soon as I put daniel to bed H wakes up and then when I put her down for a nap D wakes up and so it goes on for the whole day... I am so worn out. (My DH even took 2 days off work last week to let me get away for a few days as he could see I was nearing breaking point.)
Hannah sleeps about 11 hours straight at night which is great, but I just can't work out what is making her naps so poor. Is it that she just doesn't need more than three 30 min naps? Can that be possible at 6.5 months?
My ideal routine I guess would be for her to have a short morning nap, a longer nap (1.5 - 2hours) at lunchtime and then a catnap in the afternoon. Why does she not want to do this for me
Is there something I'm missing that may reslove things a little.
She's currently sleeping for half an hour about every 2 hours through the day, up about 6.30am and in bed for 6.30pm usually. As I said we've played around with timings but it hasn't made an ounce of difference. She wakes up after 30 mins and that's it - there's no way of getting her back to sleep again. Should I just accept that this is life?
