Can you give me a brand of these products, since I don't know if it is available here? This is a good idea, but if she continues to not eat (yesterday, she ate 500 mL only, with 2 night feedings), I will ask my ped.

I just think at something: my lo had similar problems 3 months ago, when breastfed, she cried and arqued when I put her on breast.... we saw the ped, and nothing really appeared to be the problem, except that she put my lo on Zantac (possibility of reflux)... then my lo was on Zantac until 3 weeks ago, since her ped was not really sure that she had reflux: she had no real physical symptoms... she just refused to eat, and she ate only when half asleep (right before falling asleep or immediately after sleep)...
and this is really what I experience now....again....but I don't know, since she is not spitting, vomiting, had no other symptomes, can it be really reflux? or it is just her personality, as the ped said?

I think I will post in the reflux section.... any other advice?

It could possibly be silent reflux??

If your lo took 500ml for the day, that is perfectly fine - that is about 20oz.  Try adding a little extra formula to her food i.e. potatoes, cereal etc.

Then if 500 mL is enough, maybe it is just that she is not hungry?

I am completely lost, because there are so many options:

- not hungry
- Formula taste
- used to eat on night
- silent reflux

I don't know what to do ... but if you say that 500 mL are good for her age, I am happy, and then I will just try to stop the night feeding, to make her eat more on day...

Just to let you know what's happening:

yesterday, my lo was with her dad (I went shopping :)) and she ate well, then Probably she begin t be used to the formula, and she did not smell my breast, then she ate....

today, I was alone with her, and she ate not so good, but better than 2 days ago... so thank you everybody for the answers...

my last problem is that now she has still 2 feed at night: 10:30 and 3:00, while she has 3 during the day...and she doesn't want to eat more during the day ::) I suppose it will be fixed when she will be completely used to the formula (I hope)

At the moment I would stick to trying to give her a bottle.  Once she is completely used to the bottle, then you can consider trying to wean from the night feeds.

I am pleased that she has started to take more formula.

keep us posted.

Hello,

it is completely crazy: 1 night, she only ate once (180 mL, big amount at 10:45) then she woke up at 2:00 but no feeding, and at 5:00 and no feeding.... that was great....and last night, she woke up at 9:30, 1:00 and 5:30 (day start  :o) and was fed around 100 mL....

then the nights are very differents from one to the other, and the days also... but she usually ate not a lot in the morning, and eat more in the afternoon, but each day, the eating times are differents, and the amounts also...

Very soon, tomorrow, it will be my dh that will take care of the nights, (I am back to work on monday  :'() andwe will see how it will work with him... hope it won't get worse...

I will let you know if there are improvment or not... thanks

just wanted to offer hugs and say we had the same prob with DS at 6mos that's ow we discovered silent relfux. he never spat up and showed very few symptoms but it turned out his relfux was severe. Also could it be teething? often can interfere with feeding?
Ds was also lactose intollerant and refused bottles due to pain association

yesterday, I discovered 2 new traces of teeth.... then, she was teething... I don't know if it is related to the random nights that we have, but, I hope it will be better in a few days....(when she had her 2 first teeth, ther was no symptoms, no crying, nothing....)

last night, she only ate at 10:30, and woke up at 1:30, but the time I prepared the bottle, she was sleeping....   ???

and she began her day at 5:30  ::)

Thank you for the hugs yaya, I appreciate....

today is my last day with her... :(

I will keep posted to see if we can improve her routine a little bit in a few days, when every change in her life will be accepted (wean of BF, dad staying at home, teeth...)

Teething can play a big part in it.  Some teeth cut through without any problems at all, and others can be really painful.

Hope you enjoy your last day with your DD.

Please keep us posted on how you get on.

Hello,

I enjoyed last day with dd... :(

Now with her father, she wake up once around 10:30, and sometime at 3:00 but she wake up very early (5:30)...

she sleep at 8:00 and is tired during the day...

we tried to put her to bed before, but she is not able to sleep before 8:00... and she only sleeps after a bottle... but during the wind down, I offer her a bottle and she refuses it... then she is in bed and 30 minutes after cries and then I offer her the bottlwe and she drinks...

I don't understand her.

Routine of yesterday, but it changes all the time

5:30 wake up  - 70 mL bottle
7:30 breakfast (cereals)
8:00 60 mL bottle
9:00 nap (1h)
10:00 activity
10:30 60 mL bottle
11:30 dinner veggies + fruits
1:00 nap (2h1/2)
3:30 60 mL bottle
5:00 140 mL bottle
5:30 veggies
wind down (bath - say good night to everything - rock - try bottle - lay in the bed and read 2 stories - try bottle - say good night -leave the bedroom and 10 minutes after, cry, and eat 120 mL bottle (6:30), and sleep alone).

the fact is that she do that very often: she is hungry, but doesn't eat, I left her alone in the bed, or anywhere else, and then she call and only then she will eat her entire bottle...

and tonight she only woke up at 11:00 until 6:00  :D

I think we begin to be good...
