5 hour EASY?
« on: August 01, 2007, 19:34:29 pm »
The past 3 days, my 5.5 month old has been quite disinterested in feeds. He is on a 4 hour EASY routine currently and used to take both sides at each feed. Lately, he has only fed from one side at each feed and he seems very uninterested in food. He begins to scream if I try to feed him any more than this.

We have also started solids (very small amount, afternoon, only 1tsp per day) but I don't think that is much of a factor here because of the small amount of solids.

I have not heard of a 4.5 or 5 hour easy, but is there such a transition that should occur at 6 months or something? I remember back when he was 4 months and we were on a 3hour EASY he was the same way because he wasn't hungry enough between feeds.
Thanks!
Tia

Hi lilsweetie's Mom.  I am actually going to move your post to the breast feeding thread as they will have some great advice for you.

Can you give us your routine at the moment?
How many feeds does your LO have in 24 hours?
Apart from the bfs can you detail what else they might eat or drink in the day.

TBH I suspect something else is a factor here. At his age you still want a minimum of 4-5 good breastfeeds in a day. But let's see what you come back with. Thanks.
