Hi everyone

sorry it's taken me so long to get back here and update you all - have been through a lot the last few months and had almost forgotten about the bw site until Kim sent me a reminder - thanks Kim!!!
I've had to go back to working full time (one of the reasons I'm online less!), so had to put DS into daycare  :'(  which really upset me, I don't know how mums do it when their los are very little (I guess they just have to?) - but at least I got to stay home with my cuddlebug for 5/6months which was fantastic!
The other thing that happened was that I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism - what I thought were symptoms carried over from being pregnant and having DS were actually symptoms of an underactive thyroid - depression, fatigue, muscle cramps, inability to remember/concentrate - it's really amazing how one little gland can affect so much!!!
But I have to add (for all you lovely sympathetic ladies!  :)  ) that I've been lucky as, with my level of thyroid function (or rather, non-function!) I could have gained 40kg and been bed-ridden, when, really, the worst for me was the fatigue and muscle cramps... which have eased now I'm on meds - just waiting for my memory to find me! LOL

Matt is doing really well... he still doesn't like being on his tummy and took a looooong time to work out how to roll over (another saga involving trips to the paed) - his one arm kept getting in the way. Now he's trying to crawl he seems to have the same problem with his legs - one's always getting caught under him... hope he works it out soon as all the mums of babies his age tell me their kids have been crawling for months... eek! (the paed's not worried though.)
His reflux still acts up now and then, but gaviscon keeps it in check for the most part. We've just removed the wedge from his cot as he prefers to sleep on his side but can't roll over with the wedge under him (then voices his frustration often during the night  ::)  )

Thanks for everyone's responses and support... will be visiting the site more often now I've "rediscovered" it... :)
Take care
Kate

PS Paula - congrats on your pregnancy - do you know if you're having a boy or a girl?

Hugs Kate, I am sorry to hear you have been going through a rough time - remember we are all hear for you when you need us.

I am really pleased that Matt is doing so well.  Sounds like he is growing up so quickly.  I do hear you on the daycare, but I promise you it does get easier, and when you see how quickly and how much he learns from there, you will be pleased that he is going.  Thomas loves going to nursery now, and misses it if he stays at home for a day.

Thanks for the congrats on the pregnancy, We found out we ae having a girl  ;D ;D Although I am not 100% convinced  :-\  I do have another scan in a few weeks time so will ask them to double check for me, before I go out and buy lots of pinky things.

Please keep us posted on how you are.

Hey Paula!

What did the next scan show - are you still having a girl  :)

Sorry it took so long (again) to reply, forgot my password, then couldn't remember my username or which email I used to sign up... finally managed to track down this thread and find my username...

So, what's new?

Meds for hypo are working well... have found my sense of humour again... wish they'd tell pg woman more about these kinds of things - the symptoms are so like pg symptoms, it's too easy to pass them off...
Plus there's a link to low milk supply and PPD - important to know? I think so!

You haven't got long to go now - are you excited??? (am sure you are, I'd be!)

Take care!
Kate
