My little one is a few days over 5 weeks

her "A" time is 1 hour or 1 hour 15 min. MAX

but some nap stretches she will only sleep an hour and 15 min. to one hour 30 min.

so sometimes we are left with 30-45 min. till the next E time

sometimes you can see she is really hungry, so we feed her of course

but sometimes she just isn't tired. i can lay her on her back and she'll just hang out

but then after we feed her, she is immediately ready for Sleep. even if we keep her up for 5-10 min. just to not associate food with sleep she'll sleep but again wake up early and we are again doing SAEAS

will that adjust itself over time when she has more "A" time and doing 1 hour 30 min. naps?

she sleeps well. goes down easily and often by herself. sleeps well at night

but sometimes she just doesn't sleep the whole "S" time. sometimes we even feed her early if she's fussy and not sure what to do.

Jaime - we often had this happen - and yes we just ended up with SAEAS etc.  I think as long as you aren't feeding her to sleep it doens't really matter - and as you say it will probably sort itself out once you are having longer A times.

I am sure others with more experience may have suggestions for you too  :)

I agree with the pp. Just keep the A time after she wakes nice and quiet and gentle - a bit of cot time or some gentle tummy time is what I used to do with my DS.
How often is she feeding? My DS could never go longer than 3 hours between feeds. Could she be hungry when she wakes up anyway? Have you tried just automatically starting the next E stage as soon as she wakes and carry on like that for a whole day? Does it put her out?
It can be a bit hit and miss at this age when they've gone on from the newborn stage but aren't at the 4-hourly feeds stage but just be flexible and you'll soon get through it.
