Moving Poop! :)
« on: September 20, 2007, 15:57:26 pm »
Please HELP.

My lo is in the process of taking one nap.  However, everytime I lay her down and she falls asleep....30 minutes or so later she has a poop and will NOT go back to sleep after having a poop no matter how I long I leave her in there.  Also, if I were to go in there and change her diaper that would be the end....if she sees us, it's basically party time not matter what.

What can I give her first thing in the morning to insure that she poops BEFORE her nap?

She was doing really well on one nap until the poops started happening and now the 1.5 hour long nap has turned in to a 30 minute nap and an overtired monkey.

Please help a tired mommy and baby

Thanks.
Melissa

Melissa, we had this as well whilst transitioning.  I found I needed to give DS his lunch a good hour before nap time and then I gave him water or milk to drink straight after.  I think the liquids helped push the poo out.  Then he would go right about 15 min before his nap and just this minute he went poo and DH is home and we both said, "I guess it is time for nap which it was!  It took about a week for us to get through the poop problem, which was something I did not expect or needed during that tough 2-1 switch.  HTH.

Just wanted to agree with Aisling...not putting DS down so quickly helped with this.
