Need Advice Now!

It is 10pm and my lo (18 months) is asleep.  When I went to briefly check on him before going to bed I smelled poop.  I crept in and smelled him and he is poopy.  So, do I wake him up and change his diaper or leave him alone to sleep?  BTW...he doesn't mind being in a wet or dirty diaper.  Thanks.   :)

from what i have read before most would say just leave him, does he have heaps of diaper cream on

i could not leave, i would have to change

He has no diaper cream on.   :-\

I feel like I should change him but his day has been so screwed up sleepwise that I would freak if I woke him up to change him and he refused to go back to sleep.   :-[

I texted hubby (he is at work) and he says to change him...guess that means I should change him.   :-\  Wish me luck... ;)

Done.  Thankfully he is in a big boy bead so I just changed him on the bed.  He woke up for the changing and I thought he had fallen back asleep but then he opened the door to his room.  I put him back in bed and I haven't heard from him since- so, hopefully he has fallen back asleep and will sleep till morning.   :-\

Kimberly, sorry I missed out on the pre-diaper change. :)  I just wanted to let you know that I have to change my 18 month old ds almost everynight as he poops or will wet through the diaper.  I always take a sippy of water and make sure the light is very low (usually a small flashlight).  So if he wakes, I will just give him a sip of water and then a kiss goodnight and he's usually back to la-la land. :)

Fine.  He went back to sleep after getting up that one time.  And he awoke at normal time, 6am, in his normal way, screaming.   ;)
