He does get up, but I'm still awake listening to them in there. It's not helping the sleeping situation. We've agreed that over the Christmas holidays we're going to move her to a big bed and see if that helps. If she wakes then at least one of us can lay down with her....

Thats a good plan. You can still do gradual withdrawal & lay by her cot on the floor now....or just wait until you can commit 100% over the holidays.
