Getting worse!
« on: October 25, 2007, 05:13:33 am »
not sure if this is the right place to post, but here goes.  As you will know from my previous posts my lo is not very good at napping, she is nearly 10 months now and this is what has been happening lately.
After going to bed she wakes after 3-4 hrs screams out then wont go back to sleep for about 1 hr (this happens more if she has had a longer nap in the day ie around 1hr )
She then will wake up around 4-5am sometimes she will go back to sleep sometimes not, settles better sometimes if has a bottle, therefore not sure if it is hunger or now habitual.
Night sleep is less than ever regardless to naps.
Night wakings happen regardless
Early morning ditto!
Any ideas?
Rachael

What do you do do when she wakes up? Could she be teething?

Possibly, I normally just go in and try to re settle her, if she is really upset, I suppose it could be SA as when she is with me she calms down, the main prob is her not wanting to go back to sleep cant work out if she is OT or undertired, as I mentioned the earlier eve wake up is normally when she has managed a longer sleep.  In the morning I do normally give a bottle and 90% of the time it works.  As she has always been a bad napper I could always rely on her night sleep she was having 13-13.5 hrs at night and now down to 10.5-11 and still no proper naps.

Hi,
Could you post your routine?  It certainly could be SA as this age is about when it starts.

I found that teething and SA often come at the same time. As if teething causes the SA to come at this particular time, kwim?
