I do hope it might help others, I'm really amazed at how well it's worked, particularly considering just how bad Zander's separation anxiety was, I mean I couldn't leave the room even for a second without him sobbing.  I would say that at each stage I wanted to stop - DH didn't think it was all that bad waiting in his room whilst he fell asleep (an excuse for a nap for him!) and I didn't think it was all that bad sitting outside his door for a while at bedtime - but he handled each stage further really well and adjusted easily and it was so worth going the whole way! 

Tonight I didn't hear a peep when I put him to bed, he even blew me kisses as I walked out the door  :D
