no avatars or icons?

I do not see any avatars or any of the icons in the two left boxes of each topic header.   There are also no smilies or any other options when posting in a thread.  There are also none of the blue "new" buttons. Actually, the entire board looks a little different to me- was there a change that occured?

just wondering...

Have you somehow managed to click the 'plain text version' button? Is there a button around that says 'HTML version'? Should be at the top of the page, above the blue banner that's at the top of the thread.

pressed the F5 button- nothing happened.  It's not the plain text version.  It looks like the regular board, but it's missing a bunch of stuff.  I'm going to restart my computer- maybe that's it.  hmmmmm....

Are any of the items that are missing replaced with a red X or similar?  Which browser are you using, and what version eg, Internet Explorer 7 :)

I sometimes get that too.  And yes I do get the box and a little red X.  I use Internet Explorer not sure which one though :-[  I have tried clearing my cache etc.  I end up having to close completley and re-launch IE and then it works.

there are no red x's.  if I hover over an area, a test box will pop up stating what should be there...but for the most part, it's all just blank. 

I use firefox- the latest version. 

I'll try to open with IE now...

ok- so it works with IE, but not with moxila firefox.  strange.  I can open the debate site with firefox and it works...

anyway- guess it's my browser!  THANKS!  :)

Have you tried opening Firefox in Safe Mode?  Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode)

This is sometimes handy for trouble-shooting.  If there's still no images in Safe Mode then it sounds cache related.

I tried the safe mode- still no pics... must be cache related then?  I did clear the history, cookies, etc- anything else I should do?
