Hi, I posted a long post this morning on the couch and someone suggested posting my routine here too, to see if you ladies could help.

You have already gotten some wonderful advice form the moms in the lounge.

1st..I would go get some help!  :-* :-*  I had PPD when my lo was a new born and I know how helpless things feel and like nothing is going right. It can be so scary.  What helped me most was talking to someone....opening up.  I did go to a counselor and that helped too.  Please go see someone, call someone.  Have you sat down with your husband to talk about what's going on?  I think once things get back to normal for you (and they WILL) everything else will start to fall into place.

2.  I agree that this is more of a feeding issue than a routine issue.  From 0-12 months milk is what should really nourish their bodies. Solids are just for fun and practice now.  So, I would personally cut back on a ton of the solids and focus more on the BFs.  My lo was a really efficient feeder and from day one of birth only would feed for 5-10 minutes total.  Some lo's are just able to get in what they need really quickly.  However, I do think that if you cut back on the solids that you will see a drastic difference in the BF.

3. Routine....when your lo wakes at 5:30, have you tried feeding him and then putting him back to bed?  Some babies who are BF tend to take longer to sleep through the night with out a feed and he may be waking out of hunger.  Just a thought.

Please keep us updated and let us know how you are doing. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
