Help with 16 month old
« on: October 23, 2007, 07:10:49 am »
 :'( :'( :'( Help help help

I am a working mum and I have a 16 month old who is at nursey 3 mornings a week, the other days we have a live in nanny in the house to take care of my little one.

My little one is currently sleeping in the room with the nanny as she refuses to sleep alone, she is sleeping at 9.30 -10.00pm and waking at 9.00am, when she is at nursery I find that she sleeps there for an hour and then when comes home she is awake until 9.30 - 10.00, the nanny is also rocking and singing to her to make her sleep. I am at a loss here and need some guidance please.

Thanks in advance

((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))
just need to ask a few questions as i wasn't too clear about your post.
Does the nanny rock her etc to sleep every time your daughter needs to go to sleep?
How long does she nap when she is not at nursery?
Is the nanny prepared to some sleep training?

If she is only having an hour nap at nursery i'd bump bedtime up as shes going to get overtired and find it more difficult to get to sleep.
could i possibly see her routine (nursery and home if you have time)
Andrea

Hi there Andrea, thanks for taking the time to respond

Yes the nanny rocks and sings her to sleep each time
When she is not at nursery she will sleep for 2 hours in the afternoon and then be awake until 10pm
I will try and get her routine and let you know

Thanks again xxx
