We had the same thing with being cold, Stacy, right when the weather kind of changed over here...then we had hot when we had the thermostat too hot at night. Can't win! LOL! Also, we had thirsty too because of the dry air from the heat.

All's been much better around here. We had one early wake this week - 5:30 and I went in and said "uh, uh, it's still night time, go back to bed." He was ed but eventually went back to sleep...so that was Sunday I think and yesterday and today he's slept in till 6:30.

The 1:00-3:00 nap has been working really well for him too. I think that earlier nap he was not tired enough and then had a short one, which then caused OT and/or too early of a bed time IYKWIM? He's been doing great on 6:30 wake, 1-3 nap, 7:25 in bed lights out (can't be sure when he's actually asleep, he hangs out sometimes...but it must be by 7:45)

Zara slept through last night and didn't get up til about 5:30when I was finishing on the treadmill, so that was perfect for me! Hugh had a really good night too, so I feel good.

Can't remember what time Zara napped yesterday but it was well over an hour, I think 1.5. In bed at 7 but played a bit, but was definitely asleep before 7:30, probably about 7:15.

Aside from her nap, she had two quiet times that she asked for yesterday.  In the morning, maybe mid morning, and then again late afternoon.  But we went to playgroup in the morning and the pool in the afternoon, so she gets quite a lot of activity anyway, plus plays with us at home.

LOL, Have to get treadmill done before DH leaves for work at 5:30 so he can tend to kids if they are awake.  Started a few weeks ago, just 10mins in the morning, am up to 15 mins now, increasing slowly.  Am fit enough to go longer, but am also prone to over exercising so am trying to take it slow and not injure for once!  And yep, was feeling pretty rested, only one NW from Hugh, and he went right back to sleep after feeding for once, so I got to sleep til 5 instead of 3 or 4!

I was just feeding hugh and Zara was watching TV.  As I was putting hugh on the floor when I finished Zara's head started nodding, she was falling asleep sitting cross legged on the floor :o Layed her down on her little fold out lounge and she is out like a light at 9:20am :o

This business of letting her nap when she wants and just offering quiet time a few time a day is AWESOME!  We did have a busy morning playing and stuff though ;)

Hello again. So much for the habitual waking - my little fella woke at 4.18 this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep. He went to bed just after 7 last night so he had not much more than 9 hours sleep! He stayed in his cot till 6 but I'm pretty sure he didn't go back to sleep - every 10 mins or so he'd call out. I've just put him down for his nap - it's now 10.25 am. Who knows how long it'll take him to go to sleep (he's calling for me now) or how long he'll sleep for and when I'll put him down tonight.

Isn't it meant to get easier when they're older?

Anna, I'd shoot for two naps today if you can, and then asleep by 7pm. maybe wake him after 15min this morning and then bed again at 12:30/1--for 1.75hrs, so up by 1:45--bed 6:45pm.

Well I think I did the stupidist pregnant thing ever last night. I woke at 1:30 to what I thought was Noah crying, I must have been dreaming and then half asleep because obviously I should of waited to actually hear if he was, but I went and got him water and walked in there

.....he was SLEEPING and I woke him by going in there---he was probably awake for a good 30-40min.
still woke this morning at 6am (asleep last night at 7:15)

Well I just can't catch a break!

after a shortish night and a shortish nap yesterday--1hr40min--Noah was obviously still a bit tired. went to bed with no fight at 6:30---played and fell asleep just before 7. WHY CAN"T HE SLEEP 11HRS?
woke at 5am today, out of crib at 6:30 with alot of resettling.
totally sucks b/c we have swimming at 10am, by which time I am sure he will be quite tired.

well he was tired , but did not nap either before or after swimming so we were home for 11,  lunch took forever, so he slept 11:40-1:40 or so.
I put him to bed at 6:35 or so---its 7:30and he is chatting away STILL. aargh!
I am not expecting a good night here--seems like too long of a day to me and it has taken him too long to fall asleep.

Good luck.

What you just described for Noahs day is what I am aiming for with Zara LOL.  Funny how they are all so different!
