Went to the Dr. today...
« on: November 08, 2007, 19:39:14 pm »
he believes that B has a Milk Protein intolerance.  He said that we should do less chedder and use soy or rice milk for him for the next yar and then we could try again.  he said yogurt and things he has already had were ok to continue but to be very careful with trying new milk things that aren't cooked. he thinks it is mild enough that we don't have to cut out all dairy  so I'm greatfull for that.  he also has a cold and all this stuff just happened to be at the same time.  so I am glad to knwo that there is a reason for his discomfot.  I have a soy allergy so I am kind of hesitent to try him on soy, but I;m going to try it out and see what happens and then go from there.

there is rice milk and soy milk that I know of.  any other kinds of milk?

I have heard of almond milk but not sure I would like to try it with a child that has any food allergies. I know lots of people do well with rice milk and know a few people that like oat milk. You might be ok with goats milk but I know that the proteins are very similar to cows milk and that is why lots of people still react to goats milk.
