2.5 year old waking at night to put on a dress!
« on: November 12, 2007, 04:57:15 am »
I know it sounds wierd, but it is true!  My 2.5 year old DD has recently been into pretty dresses and wearing one every day.  We just have to lay one out the night before on a chair in her bedroom or she won't go to sleep.  Anyway, the other night she came into my room about 3 am with her pretty dress on!  After that, she was awake for like an hour.  What the heck!!  I have sort of suspected sleep walking, because she has done some wierd things at night, but I don't know much about it.  What do you girls think??  Anyone else had a similar experience??

Thanks!!

At 2 yo, my older dd would get up in the middle of the night and demand that we brush her teeth?!?  Thought that rather wierd and she would get very angry when we refused.  Finally convinced her a sip of water would work and just put her back to bed.

I have found with all three of mine that they begin dreaming about this time and it seems to confuse them and cause odd wakings.  One of my daughters at this age dreamed I took her blanket and lovey and actually stayed a little peeved with me for a couple of days!

Wow, poor you  :) bet you got a suprise. How about getting her a nightshirt instead of pjs? DD loves to wear them now and now it's getting a bit cooler I have a hard job getting her back in jammies.
